BauMont Real Estate Capital and YardNine have signed two pre-lets totalling 35,000 sq ft at the Edenica development in the City of London.

Technip Energies is taking 20,000 sq ft across the fourth and fifth floors of the building and Fletcher Priest Architects, which is currently based in Fitzrovia and was responsible for Edenica’s architectural design, will occupy 15,000 sq ft over the ground, mezzanine and first floors.

The 90,000 sq ft Grade A office development is now more than 50% let ahead of its completion later this year.

Matthew Cheadle, managing director of Technip Energies in the UK, said: “Technip Energies is pleased to begin a new phase of its journey at Edenica as part of its strategic expansion within the UK. Technip Energies was drawn to this location by its leading sustainability standards, innovative and eco-responsible architecture which reflects Technip Energies’ environment ambitions.”

Ed Williams, managing partner at Fletcher Priest Architects, added: “Moving to Edenica comes at the right time for our practice, occupying workspace which reflects our values with daylight, fresh air, biophilia and longevity at its heart. This project has been a labour of love for Fletcher Priest and we feel the building will provide the perfect home for our team to collaborate and enjoy. The move to Midtown is an exciting one for our practice and will ensure we continue to be well connected to our clients and industry networks throughout the capital and beyond.”

Maxwell Shand, director of YardNine, said: “This is a major milestone for Edenica, not only securing over 50% of its leasing ahead of completion, but also demonstrating the flexibility of the building to accommodate a diverse range of occupiers, from legal firms to energy companies and creative design studios. These pre-let deals are a huge vote of confidence in our building and our approach as we continue to push the boundaries of sustainability and workplace innovation, offering our tenants a best-in-class office environment.”

Knight Frank and RX London advised YardNine, JLL advised Technip Energies and Pilcher London advised Fletcher Priest Architects LLP.
