Boreal IM has appointed Nicky Menten, formerly of Deloitte’s London real estate M&A team, as vice president of asset management.
Menten started his career as an accountant at PwC before working at Vancouver-based real estate investment, management and development company Hungerford Properties.
At Deloitte he managed more than £600m of transactions spanning platform/asset fundraisings and other corporate finance engagements across the commercial and residential sectors. In his new role, Menten’s primary focus will be on the development and implementation of Boreal’s asset and portfolio management strategies.
Boreal has also promoted Xavier Aubrun from vice president to principal in the firm’s investment team. Aubrun, who joined the business in 2022 after eight years at AEW, oversees Boreal’s investment and acquisition strategy in France.
