CBRE has appointed Matt Willcock as managing director – Scotland, effective 1 January 2025.
Willcock is taking over the reins from David Smith, who has been at the helm for the past two years. Smith, who will continue to be part of CBRE’s senior leadership team, is taking on a new role focusing on capital markets and development spanning offices, industrial and logistics, retail and the living sectors.
Willcock joined CBRE in 2012 and has held a number of key leadership roles across the company’s London and regional businesses, more recently working in Scotland.
Willcock said: “The Scotland business has incredible potential and I am honoured to be taking over at such an interesting time in the market, building on the strong foundations laid down by David. The opportunities to drive forward new strategies that deliver value to our clients, empower our team and support sustainable growth are vast and I look forward to working with talented individuals to achieve our ambitious goals.”
Smith added: “Matt brings an abundance of energy and dedication to the Scotland team and I have full confidence that under his leadership our business will continue to thrive. I am looking forward to supporting these efforts, collaborating with our UK and international capital market teams to build Scotland’s profile on a global stage, unveiling the wealth of untapped investment and development opportunities.”
