Specialist real estate investor Compagnie du Parc (CdP) has acquired two industrial assets in London totalling 139,500 sq ft for £30m.
The company has purchased Five Arches Business Estate in Sidcup (pictured) and Bourne Industrial Park in Crayford, and has up to £150m to deploy in Greater London light industrial property following the disposal of assets in the UK and Switzerland last year.
To manage the group’s existing assets and support its new acquisitions drive, CdP has appointed Chris Nicoll as portfolio director. Nicoll was formerly head of industrial and logistics at Columbia Threadneedle Real Estate Partners.
George Alcock, acquisition director at Compagnie du Parc, said: “The acquisition of Five Arches business estate and Bourne Industrial Park marks the next progressive step in CdP’s journey. These well-located assets not only strengthen our portfolio but also affirm our commitment to urban light industrial and logistics assets within Greater London. With Chris Nicoll joining us as portfolio director and the capital firepower from the disposals, we are well-positioned to maximise the potential of our existing assets and pursue further growth and exciting opportunities.”
Nicoll added: “I’m really excited to join CdP as we look to redeploy the capital raised from the last tranche of successful European investments and seek to capitalise on our position in the wider economic cycle. With demand for Greater London industrial and logistics assets set to remain strong and the capital markets being comparatively suppressed, it’s a great time to drive performance from CdP’s existing holdings and examine exciting new opportunities.
“The company’s existing portfolio of well-located investments is already growing from strength to strength as showcased by its latest acquisitions, Five Arches and Bourne Industrial Park. I’m looking forward to working with the team to optimise these existing assets further and assisting with CdP’s strong pipeline of acquisitions.”
