The 259.61-acre site comprises an expansive parcel of hill ground within the Denny Muir site of special scientific interest (SSSI) and is being offered for sale as a whole.
Darrach Hill occupies an elevated position between approximately 250m and 360m above sea level, forming the highest point within the Falkirk Council area. The land lies to the south of the River Carron and is bordered by established forestry plantations.
Darrach Hill has historically been utilised for cattle grazing, including Highland cattle, and offers a significant area of rough grazing land classified predominantly as Class 6.2.
In addition the property presents significant environmental and natural capital potential including extensive areas of open hill and peatland, with mapping identifying zones of raised and blanket bog.
These characteristics make it particularly well suited to peatland restoration, habitat creation, carbon capture and biodiversity net gain projects.
