Chancerygate has received planning permission to deliver 59,500 sq ft of Grade A urban logistics space in Manchester.
The Eastside development, which has a GDV of approximately £15m, will comprise nine speculatively built units ranging from 4,000 sq ft to 14,000 sq ft.
The units are being delivered on a 2.3-acre site which was formerly home to Walkers of Manchester’s printing facility in Clayton, three miles east of Manchester city centre.
Construction of the Eastside scheme is expected to commence in September and the units will be available on a freehold or leasehold basis. Chancerygate is targeting EPC A and BREEAM Very Good ratings for the units.

The development’s strong ESG credentials and strategic location between the Manchester city centre and the M60 will appeal to potential occupiers from a wide range of sectors. We are already in detailed discussions with a number of parties for early commitments to the scheme, which is encouraging and emphasises the pent-up demand.”
JLL and Colliers have been appointed joint letting agents on the scheme.
