Clearbell Capital has promoted Alice Murray to the role of head of asset management and sustainability.
Murray worked at Orchard Street Investment Management and as part of the City agency team at Savills prior to joining Clearbell’s asset management team in 2021.
She previously held the position of asset management and sustainability director and in her new role she will report into managing partner Rob West and be responsible for leading on the ongoing development and implementation of Clearbell’s ESG strategy across the firm’s portfolio.
Murray said: “ESG commitments are no longer just part of a fund’s fiduciary responsibility to its investors. It has become vital that stewardship of property assets generates value beyond financial returns. Funds must ensure that they are delivering sustainable projects and that they are better representing their stakeholders.
“I’m thoroughly grateful for the opportunity to take Clearbell’s ESG strategy forward and ensure that it delivers for our investors, our colleagues, our tenants, and our stakeholders. This is work that can’t be done in silos, however, and so I’ll be working to ensure that all Clearbell colleagues are embedded in a culture that prioritises ESG considerations in all avenues of their work.”
