AUM Construction has acquired a large Victorian building in Wednesbury for £730,000 from Green Square Accord.
Innovation Works, which contains nearly 30 offices, is located on the corner of Booth Street and Queen Street, just off the main A454 Black Country Route, providing easy access to Junctions 9 and 10 of the M6 motorway.
Green Square Accord will remain on the site for a year, after which AUM intends to redevelop the building.
James Mattin, managing director of Bond Wolfe, said: “We’re delighted to have arranged the sale of this substantial, two-storey character building that was constructed in the 1800s. The property has 11,559 sq ft of internal space on a site area of nearly 0.4-acres, with car parking area on two sides.
“There is a reception, 10 offices, ladies and gents’ toilets, a kitchen, plant room and lift to the first floor downstairs, with another 19 offices, a boardroom, meeting room, kitchen and store upstairs. Currently configured as a series of self-contained office suites, the property would lend itself to a variety of uses, subject to planning permission, including residential, leisure, education and healthcare.”
Walker Solicitors provided legal advice to the buyer and Bevan Brittan advised the vendor.
