Multi Let Property Unit Trust has let three refurbished warehouse units totalling 25,457 sq ft at Walter Lawrence Trading Estate in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

All three units were previously occupied by a single tenant that went into administration. Unit 1 (10,497 sqft) has been let to Howdens, Unit 2 (8,811 sqft) to Florsense and Unit 3 (6,149 sqft) to Belfor.

Florsense and Belfor both relocated from elsewhere in Luton with Belfor moving from older premises on Bilton Way.

Dan Jackson, director at Adriot Real Estate Advisors, which alongside JLL acted for the landlord on the lettings, said: “Once again, we’ve seen the difference it makes when units are refurbished and ready to let. Unit 3 had already been comprehensively refurbished in 2019, so it needed less work, and we were able to turn it around quickly once JLL secured interest from Belfor.

“With Unit 3 let, the landlord moved on to the more extensive works needed on Units 1 and 2, which only finished in April. We let Unit 2 to Florsense in June and Unit 1 to Howdens in October. It’s great to see the units let so soon after the works finished, and Howdens brings a trade counter presence to the estate.”

James Saxby, director at JLL, added: “With all three units now let, we’re turning our attention to Unit 8, where the refurbishment works have just finished. It’s another good quality unit in an established location and we’re expecting strong interest.”

Colliers acted for Howdens.
