The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is seeking views on Prologis’s proposed £14bn acquisition of SEGRO.

The CMA has issued an ‘invitation to comment’, which allows interested parties to submit initial views on the impact the transaction could have on competition in the UK. The invitation to comment closes on 10 November 2026.

The CMA said it has not yet launched its formal investigation into the transaction and the invitation to comment is the first part of its information gathering process.

In August, the boards of Prologis and SEGRO announced they had reached agreement on the terms of the takeover deal.

Prologis will pay 1,031.7p per SEGRO share – a premium of 39% on the UK REIT’s share price on 23 June – with SEGRO shareholders paid mostly in stock, with a partial cash alternative of £3.5bn.
