Firethorn has secured planning consent to redevelop a 9.75-acre site on Norreys Drive, Maidenhead, into a three-unit industrial park.
The company will demolish the existing buildings on the site and deliver circa 205,000 sq ft of new industrial and logistics space, alongside office accommodation and outdoor amenity space.
Firethorn acquired the site, which has operated as a manufacturing facility for 70 years, with previous occupiers including Beecham’s, GSK and Haleon, in December 2025. Norreys Drive is located adjacent to Junction 9A of the A404(M), less than one mile of Junction 8/9 of the M4.
James Sanders, director and head of industrial and logistics at Firethorn, said: “Norreys Drive has supported the local economy for more than 70 years, and this endorsement by the community and RBWM will ensure it continues to do so. By replacing a facility no longer fit for purpose, with a high quality development, Firethorn expects to attract a diverse range of occupiers, bringing new jobs and investment to the local economy. We thank the local community and RBWM team for their support and look forward to continuing that positive relationship as we deliver a new chapter for this strategically important site.”
The project team includes Quartz Project Services, UMC Architects, Quod, Velocity Transport Planning, CBRE, LSH and Cogent.
