Gateley Vinden has strengthened its building consultancy team in London with the appointment of Matt McGettigan as a director.

McGettigan has more than over 18 years of experience in core building surveying and consultancy services, including project management, dilapidations and technical due diligence spanning the commercial, retail, leisure, healthcare and insurance sectors. Prior to joining Gateley Vinden, he worked for the likes of Ridge and Partners and Savills.

In his new role, McGettigan will work closely with Gateley Vinden director Adrian Gladstone and bolster the building consultancy team’s national offering across a range of sectors, including fire safety and cladding, hotels, industrial and commercial premises.

McGettigan said: “Gateley Vinden boasts an impressive offering for the built environment which combines surveying and lead consultant services with legal expertise from within the wider group. This seamless service provision is unique, and there is definitely a large appetite for this within the market, so it’s a really exciting time to be joining the consultancy.”

Tim Aitchison, director and head of building consultancy at Gateley Vinden, added: “Matt joins us as a strategic hire to support with the continued development of our services, and build on recent expansion as we look to further grow our team in London to meet the evolving needs of the industry. He brings an impressive work and management track record and is a great addition to Gateley Vinden.”
