HBD and St John’s College Cambridge have secured outline planning consent for the FREEPORT 36 industrial and logistics scheme in Goole.
The consent allows for the creation of a 5.5m sq ft industrial and manufacturing park on a 300-acre site with units ranging from 40,000 sq ft to more than 1,000,000 sq ft.
The site, which is located adjacent to Junction 36 of the M62 and provides convenient access to Goole Docks and the M18, forms part of the Humber Freeport Goole tax site, which has already been officially designated following review and approval by the Treasury and HM Revenue & Customs.
HBD – Henry Boot’s property investment and development arm – became involved in the project in 2023. The next step will be to draw up detailed development plans, with the potential to make a start on site before the end of the year.
