Helios Real Estate has appointed Zoe Thomson as development director with responsibility for the developer’s European logistics programme.
Thomson qualified as a solicitor specialising in development law and has worked both in private practice and for a major UK developer before her move away from the profession and into property development.
She will be based in Helios’ Vienna office and will be responsible for strategic development and overseeing all group legal services.
Thomson said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Helios and despite the current economic uncertainty, Helios is as busy as ever. We’re always on the look out for new sites of interest particularly sites with commercial elements. Helios is also looking for more logistics projects in Central Europe, particularly in Austria, where we have established an office, and Switzerland.
“In addition to our AyKa Helios Logistics Park at Vienna Airport, we are looking at last-mile logistics schemes in other major European cities where we see a significant under supply. The PBSA sector is another area of interest in which we see potential for growth in Europe.”
