Immersive event promoter Kilimanjaro Group has signed a 15-year lease at Network Rail’s 11,000 sq ft Arches London Bridge exhibition and events space.
The venue contains five interconnected, railway arches and has been renovated to create an exhibition space alongside a bar, cafe, box office and shop.
Kilimanjaro Group is launching the space with a major new retrospective exhibition ‘Direct From Graceland: Elvis’, which explores the life of Elvis Presley.
Hamish Kiernan, commercial director, property, at Network Rail, said: “We knew this space would make a unique venue and its transformation into an immersive event space demonstrates our commitment to making our stations engaging destinations. We want to work with the best operators to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. Kilimanjaro Group has launched with a show stopping exhibit which is hard to beat in the capital.”
Liz Koravos, managing director, Arches London Bridge, added: “Kilimanjaro searched for five years to find an ideal location, close to transportation and on the open top tourist bus route. We were looking for exhibition and event space. Of course, we needed high ceilings too. Arches London Bridge gave us a stunning and unusual space with 6m high ceilings located just moments from the river and adjacent to the national connections of London Bridge Station. We are absolutely delighted Network Rail selected Kilimanjaro’s tender from many submissions and Arches London Bridge was able to open the doors with such a legendary title, Direct From Graceland: Elvis.”
