The Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club in Ballyconnell, County Cavan, has hit the market with a price tag of circa €35m.
The 224-bedroom hotel, which is located on a 300-acre site, includes banqueting and leisure facilities and a PGA Championship golf course.
The Ciúin Spa at Slieve Russell features 13 treatment rooms and the Slieve Russell Country Club facilities include a 20m pool, jacuzzi steam room, sauna and fitness suite.
In addition to the 18-hole championship golf course, the site also boasts a nine-hole par three academy course, a three-bay floodlit driving range, a putting green and a practice area.
The resort, which opened in 1990, is capable of hosting national conferences with capacity for up to 1,000 delegates.
Paul Collins, head of hotels, Ireland at CBRE, which is marketing the opportunity, said: “The unique opportunity to acquire one of Ireland’s best known and highly profitable resort hotel rarely presents itself. The scale of ongoing investment in the hotel’s facilities and growing business will appeal to the national and international investment market.”
