CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) and Chancerygate have submitted plans to speculatively build 105,000 sq ft of Grade A urban logistics space on a site near the Salford Community Stadium in Eccles.
The proposed scheme, which will sit on a five-acre site on Stadium Way, will comprise nine leasehold units ranging from 6,150 sq ft to 23,500 sq ft.
All properties at the development will feature EV charging points along with solar cells which provide green energy on an affordable basis to occupiers. The JV partners are targeting BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A rating as a minimum for all of the units.
Andy Farrer, development manager at Chancerygate, said: “This site offers the perfect location to deliver our high-quality urban logistics accommodation which will benefit SME business across Salford, Greater Manchester and the wider North West. Our proposed plans for the scheme will provide units which have strong sustainability credentials in an area that offers fantastic access to key road connections and major motorway networks. We now look forward to working closely with Salford City Council to progress our planning application and deliver prime economic assets.”
