Harleyford Capital has completed acquisitions totalling £16m for its UK urban logistics strategy.
The company has acquired a 50,000 sq ft logistics facility in Avonmouth, approximately 10 miles from Bristol city centre, and a 60,000 sq ft freehold facility in Salford.
The acquisitions are the fourth and fifth investments for Harleyford Logistics Partnership II, following three initial acquisitions in Manchester, Glasgow and Sheffield.
Harleyford has also expanded its investment team with the appointment of Bond Sutuntivorakoon as director and Stepan Suchkov as analyst. Sutuntivorakoon joins Harleyford from ESR Europe, where he was a vice-president in the European real estate team, focused on investment origination and execution.
Dean Harrison, managing director, investments at Harleyford Capital, said: “These acquisitions represent further progress in deploying our urban logistics strategy, taking the Partnership II portfolio to more than 250,000 sq ft. Both assets fit our focus on well-located, institutional quality logistics assets in major UK markets where we can drive value through active asset management.
“Alongside deploying capital, we have continued to invest in the Harleyford platform. Having worked closely with Bond at InfraRed, I know first-hand the experience and judgement he brings. Reuniting him with Tom, Zayn and me, alongside Stepan, further strengthens the team as we continue to grow the business and pursue new investment opportunities.”
Sutuntivorakoon added: “I am delighted to be joining the Harleyford team and to be working with Dean, Tom and Zayn again. This is an exciting chapter in the firm’s journey as we continue to invest, manage and develop best-in-class urban logistics assets and execute on compelling investment strategies on behalf of our investors.”
