Knight Frank has appointed Mary O’Connor to the group executive board as a non-executive adviser.

O’Connor, who has more than 30 years of leadership experience, has held numerous senior positions at the likes of insurance broker Willis Towers Watson and the UK’s Financial Services Authority. She also served as UK CEO of ‘Big Four’ accountancy firm KPMG‘s non-audit business.

O’Connor is currently chair of the audit committee of Hargreaves Lansdown and serves on the board of Carne Group. The NEA role is held for a three-year term and O’Connor is replacing Charlotte Boyle.

William Beardmore-Gray, senior partner and group chair at Knight Frank, said: “Mary is a proven leader and commercially astute executive who brings invaluable insight to our business. Her skillset complements that of our actively engaged and dynamic board, strengthening our collective ability to navigate both opportunities and challenges.

“As Knight Frank continues to drive its international growth ambitions, we remain acutely aware of the risks that come with scaling. Protecting our culture and staying true to our proven strategy will be paramount. With a track record of leading some of the most successful growth transformations, Mary will be a trusted source of insight and guidance as we expand our capabilities and footprint.”

O’Connor added: “I am delighted to be joining Knight Frank at such an exciting time. The company’s culture of seamless collaboration and relentless client focus is impressive, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success. With exceptional prospects ahead, I am eager to work alongside the board to help drive strategic initiatives and ensure sustainable growth.”
