Knight Frank has promoted Joshua Morris to the newly-created role of UK head of international capital.

Morris has been a partner in Knight Frank’s capital markets team since 2019 and in his new role he will focus on bringing overseas capital sources to UK opportunities.

Morris will work closely with Charlie Barke, UK head of capital markets, and will also play a lead role in Knight Frank’s integrated global capital markets offer alongside Neil Brookes, global head of capital markets.

Morris said: “Knight Frank has an unrivalled access to global capital through its network and strategic alliances, and there is a real opportunity for more to be deployed into UK real estate. It is an interesting point in the cycle, with retail and some offices looking attractive from a yield/pricing perspective, while logistics and living sectors offer security of income partly due to supply-demand dynamics. I look forward to working even more closely with colleagues across our key hubs in mainland Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and US to support our clients.”

Barke added: “Josh is a well-connected, proven dealmaker. He will now work with all our capital markets teams to help access global capital for transactions in the UK. His market knowledge and commercial acumen make him ideally suited for this role.”

Brookes said: “We are witnessing an increased interest from Asia Pacific investors, particularly from Japan, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong, seeking opportunities in the UK real estate market. While there is still demand for direct core and core-plus assets, there is a notable shift towards joint venture partnerships with UK-based investment managers, especially in operational real estate. Josh’s appointment comes at an opportune time, enabling us to better connect our offshore clients with UK opportunities amid this increase in cross-border investment activity.”
