Langtree has submitted a planning application to Oldham Council for 192,000 sq ft of light industrial, storage, distribution and manufacturing space, split across 13 units, at its £40m Hollinwood Junction scheme.
The developer is delivering the scheme in partnership with the local authority and is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating for the new units. Langtree intends to use translucent fascia materials throughout the scheme to allow for maximum natural light within each unit.
The proposals for the site, which sits adjacent to junction 22 of the M60, south west of Oldham town centre, also includes extensive landscaping.
Josh Downes, senior development manager at Langtree, said: “Our ambition is to provide a variety of modern employment spaces that will provide room for local employers to expand and help attract new occupiers keen to benefit from the site’s location and the town’s skilled workforce.”

Planning consultancy Spawforths advised on the application. The scheme has been designed by Fletcher Rae.
