LaSalle Investment Management has appointed Marcus Day as head of LaSalle Global Solutions, the firm’s $10bn private indirect investment platform.
Day, who as more than two decades of real estate investment leadership experience, most recently served as a founding member and co-head of Brookfield’s real estate secondaries platform, where he helped build and scale the business and shaped its global investment and fundraising strategy.
Prior to that, he was head of acquisitions Americas for Partners Group’s real estate secondaries business, and earlier in his career, he held senior real estate investment roles at UBS, Camden Securities and Winten Property Group.
Day will take over leadership of LaSalle Global Solutions and join the firm’s global management committee on 1 January 2027 following a period of transition. He will report to Brad Gries, CEO of LaSalle, and will oversee the evolution and growth of LaSalle’s private indirect investment platform, including multi-manager, fund of funds, joint venture and co-investment, and secondaries strategies.
Gries said: “Marcus helped build and scale a global investment platform, has deep sponsor and investor relationships, and has led investing across the Americas and Asia Pacific. He brings the experience LaSalle Global Solutions needs and will work with our teams to serve our clients and grow the business, fully leveraging the deep market intelligence and global footprint of both the LaSalle and JLL networks. Further, LaSalle Securities is seeing meaningful growth today and I look forward to unlocking the tremendous opportunity ahead with Lisa focused on growing and scaling this part of the business.”
Day added: “LaSalle has invested indirectly in real estate for decades, and has the manager and operating partner network, client relationships and investment expertise to grow LaSalle Global Solutions. What makes this opportunity truly compelling for both LaSalle and our investors is the power of the broader LaSalle and JLL platforms.
“In indirect investing, having access to JLL and LaSalle’s global research capabilities, localised market intelligence and massive transaction flow creates a distinct information advantage. This platform strength allows us to underwrite risk more effectively and source unique opportunities globally. The market opportunity ahead in indirect investing and liquidity solutions is a significant one, and I’m looking forward to working with the team and our clients on the next phase of growth.”
