Manchester-based dessert shop Lazy Sundae has taken 1,305 sq ft at Manchester Arndale for its second location in the city. The ice cream parlour, which opened its first outlet in the Northern Quarter, has signed a 10-year lease on the unit.

Scott Linard, portfolio director at M&G Real Estate, said: “We’re delighted that an up and coming brand like Lazy Sundae has chosen Manchester Arndale for its newest location. We place great importance in having a truly mixed offer and its fantastic to be able to support local brands as they expand.

“With such exciting leasing activity taking place, including recent retail lettings to MINISO, Gilly Hicks and Clarks, it’s clear operators across the board have long-term confidence in the centre. As we move into the new year, we hope to continue this bumper run, cementing Manchester Arndale as a dynamic and vibrant retail destination with a varied line up of exciting retail, F&B and leisure.”

Metis Real Estate and Time Retail Partners are retained letting agents at Manchester Arndale.
