The L&G Managed Fund has received planning approval to deliver a best-in-class, 88,000 sq ft sustainable logistics warehouse at West Cross Industrial Estate in Brentford.

The building’s design has taken inspiration from the scale and architectural proportions of the original art deco style Firestone building that was located on the site.

The all-electric building will feature on-site photovoltaic cells and 25% EV parking provision with infrastructure in place for a further 56% of spaces. The net zero carbon-enabled development will deliver increased biodiversity net gain through a comprehensive package of landscape upgrades and is expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent accreditation when completed next year.

Rob Codling, fund manager, Managed Fund, L&G Asset Management, said: “The site represents a rare and exciting redevelopment opportunity in a highly sought after location and fits with the fund’s strategy to hold best in class industrial assets with strong sustainability credentials.”
