LondonMetric Property has announced that investment director Valentine Beresford will retire from the business at the end of the current financial year.
Valentine was one of the original founders of Metric Property, which IPO’d in 2010, and has worked with LondonMetric’s management team for more than 30 years.
Following his retirement, Will Evers, who joined Metric Property in 2010 and has been joint head of investment with Valentine since 2024, will become sole head of investment.
Andrew Jones, chief executive of LondonMetric, said: “It has been a great pleasure working with Valentine and we have had a wonderful time over many years with significantly more highs than lows, materially more wins than losses and considerably more laughs than tears. It is hard to overstate the significant contribution he has offered both as a colleague and friend while reshaping and growing LondonMetric’s portfolio to £7.4bn of assets.
“We have planned for this transition and have incredible strength in depth with both Will and Darren well established in their respective roles to ensure that we continue to capitalise on the significant opportunities that lie ahead.”
Beresford added: “I am hugely proud of what we have achieved at LondonMetric since co-founding Metric Property with Andrew and Mark in 2010. I have worked alongside them both consistently for 32 years and leave the company in great shape with a best-in-class team.”
