McLaren Construction has appointed Glen Harding as commercial director responsible for supporting the growth of its construction management and specialist projects division.
Harding, who has 38 years of construction industry experience, previously held commercial roles at Galliford Try, Skanska and Sir Robert McAlpine where he served as commercial director.
In his new role, he will be focused on on large scale real estate and public sector projects and will report directly to Vince Lydon, managing director of the division.
Lydon said: “Glen brings a wealth of experience in construction management delivery, which is exactly what we’re looking for to strengthen this capability at McLaren and respond to client demand to effectively manage risk on construction projects. Construction management is a distinctive way of delivering large scale projects. This is why Glen will make an immediate impact as we pursue opportunities for growth both in London and the rest of the UK.”
