Contractor MCS Group has reached practical completion of a new 85,000 sq ft multi-million-pound logistics unit at Manor Royal, in Crawley, West Sussex, on behalf of Arcus-PCD.
3PL provider Evri – formerly Hermes – has signed a long lease on the new distribution hub, which was funded by Russbritt.
Keir Edmonds, group managing director of MCS Group, said: “We have an excellent relationship with Arcus-PCD, going back over many years, and we were delighted to work with them once again on this prestigious negotiated contract.
“Like other contractors, we have had to face up to the twin challenges of shortages of talent and materials. We have built on longstanding relationships and strategically targeted workload through negotiated contracts. In the current climate, early collaboration is vital and we believe negotiated contracts work better for both MCS Group and our clients as it allows us to mitigate risk for both parties, as demonstrated with the very successful completion of this development.”
