Joint venture partners Coventry City Council and Rigby Group have secured planning consent for the £2.5bn GreenPower Park site at Coventry Airport.
The park will provide 4.8m sq ft of manufacturing space across seven units ranging from 69,000 sq ft to 1.5m sq ft.
The latest planning approval augments the existing outline permission for a large battery manufacturing facility, which was granted in 2022.
Coventry City Council and Rigby Group are seeking to create a centre of excellence for battery technology, advanced manufacturing and clean energy, at GreenPower Park, which is part of the Coventry & Warwick Investment Zone.
The UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC), which provides testing facilities for battery technologies, neighbours the site.
