Savills has bolstered its industrial and logistics team by hiring David Tew and Chris Hobday from Avison Young.
Tew, who started his career at Avison Young and acted for clients including Prologis, Logic and M&G, has joined Savills as a director, and Hobday, who has more than eight years’ experience working in the industrial and logistics sector focusing on the Midlands, has joined the team as an associate director.
Tew and Hobday will be based in the firm’s Birmingham office and will help to further grow Savills’ industrial and logistics offer in the Midlands, alongside Ranjit Gill, Christian Smith and Katie Monks.
Richard Sullivan, national head of industrial and logistics at Savills, said: “Savills remains committed to providing the best possible service to clients in the UK and the strategic hire of David and Chris will help to grow and enhance our offer in the Midlands. Their combined experience will diversify the team’s knowledge and build upon both new and existing client relationships. This appointment will further strengthen our already formidable national agency team.”
Ranjit Gill, head of the Birmingham industrial and logistics team at Savills, added: “We are excited to have both David and Chris join our best-in-class team. Their extensive knowledge of the Midlands industrial and logistics market will bolster our existing proposition and ensure we remain the go-to for investors, developers and occupiers across the region.”
