Savills has strengthened its global cross border retail expertise with the appointment of Thea Rowe as associate director from Bruce Gillingham Pollard.
Rowe spent more than a decade at Bruce Gillingham Pollard working across both leasing and tenant representation teams.
In her new role, she will be based in Dubai, strengthening the global retail team’s cross border advisory in the Middle East. Rowe will help both new entrants and established names grow their presence within the market.
Sam Foyle, co-head of prime global retail at Savills, said: “Thea will be an excellent addition to our cross border retail team, as our capabilities and global presence go from strength to strength. We are constantly investing in our global retail teams, continuing to deliver a fully integrated and consistent service offering.
“The Middle East represents a key market for us, with Thea well positioned to drive forward our expertise there; brands are not only recognising the region’s phenomenal economic growth, but also its growing appeal as an international tourist destination.”
Rowe added: “The Middle East offers a fast-paced and vibrant retail environment, which more recently, has opened up to increasingly more international operators. Working at Savills, I’m excited to bring some new entrants into the market, as well as advising some of the local operators as they continue to flourish in this market.”
