Mark Robinson, group chief executive of SCAPE, has been appointed co-chair of the Construction Leadership Council’s (CLC) building and places workstream.
In his role as co-chair, Robinson will liaise with the government to identify how public and private sector investment in infrastructure, buildings and regeneration can best serve communities.
He joins Helen Hare, director of projects at GPE and senior vice president of the British Council for Offices, who has chaired the buildings and places workstream since it was re-established in 2023.
The workstream aims to promote good placemaking, efficient and sustainable construction activity, and investment into innovation and the industry’s capacity for future development.
Robinson said: “The Construction Leadership Council plays a vital role in helping to implement more efficient, sustainable and integrated approaches to construction. Encouraging collaboration and reaping the benefits of public-private partnerships is something I have been focussing on for years during my time at SCAPE. I look forward to working with the CLC to bring these practices forward more widely.”
