Scarborough Group International (SGI) has entered into a joint venture partnership with Greyfriars Investments to explore the potential future use of a 270-acre site on the outskirts of Flaxby in Harrogate.
The site, which is located adjacent to junction 47 of the A1(M), was acquired from administrators in 2016 with consent granted for a hotel and golf resort.
Following a previous planning process under the former Harrogate Borough Council, alternative proposals, including an eco-village resort, were considered but did not progress.
SGI has submitted the site for consideration in North Yorkshire Council’s new local plan, ensuring that any future proposals align with the region’s evolving needs and policy framework.
