SHL UK has signed for more than 16,000 sq ft of office space across the ninth and tenth floors of The Cygnet building at Unilever’s Kingston Campus.

The deal represents the first sub-letting at the new office building with SHL relocating to the space from its current home in Thames Ditton.

Following the relocation of Unilever’s UK headquarters and some global teams to Sunlight House at the Kingston Campus this summer, the adjacent Cygnet House has been brought to market, with approximately 75,000 sq ft still available to let

Peter York, head of London met and South East, office leasing, CBRE, which alongside Cushman & Wakefield advised Unilever, said: “This letting demonstrates that high quality office space continues to attract strong occupier interest as businesses remain focused on securing workplaces that support collaboration, talent attraction and long-term growth. Completing the first sub-letting at the campus is an encouraging signal for the South West London office market and provides a strong platform as we continue discussions with prospective occupiers.”

Tim Hodges, director at SHW, which advised SHL UK on the letting, added: “The decision of SHL to choose The Cygnet for their new UK headquarters is a further endorsement of a market where occupiers continue to target quality and ESG to give their business and their teams a workplace they can enjoy and be proud to call home.”
