Global design and engineering firm Stantec is consolidating its presence in Manchester into a new 10,000 sq ft home at 100 Barbirolli Square in the city centre.

The firm is relocating staff from its two existing offices at Oxford Street and Bridge Street to the seventh floor of the building in March.

The refurbished workplace features co-working space, including zones for social activity, team building exercises, and general wellbeing. There will also be a number of creative areas for teams and clients to use.

Cath Schefer, Stantec’s global chief operating officer, said: “With so many incredible projects in the pipeline, we need to ensure we attract the best talent across a variety of important disciplines. We know the next generation of engineers and designers prioritise wellbeing and inclusivity, while having a dynamic, flexible workplace. Our new Manchester office will be a lively and aspirational hub right in the city centre.”

Bernard Greep, planning director at Stantec, added: “This truly is a remarkable space in a fantastic location giving us room to quickly expand our technical and creative teams. We’re excited to use it to collaborate with clients on some of the most transformational built environment projects in this region and beyond.”
