Stoford and BlackRock UK Property Fund (BUKPF) have submitted a detailed planning application for a 302,000 sq ft warehouse at Middlemarch Business Park, Siskin Parkway West, Coventry.
The 16.4-acre brownfield site is currently occupied by a national logistics operator. Stoford intends to demolish the existing 1970s building and replace it with a modern, purpose-built, BREEAM Excellent-rated logistics facility, with integral three-storey office space.
BUKPF has a long lease on the site from the landowner Coventry City Council and has appointed Stoford as the scheme’s development manager.
Dan Gallagher, joint managing director of Stoford, said: “This scheme presents the opportunity to secure the long-term future of the site through a replacement complex which meets modern, operational needs. Our proposals not only support economic growth but will deliver an attractive landscaped environment and a better place for people to work.”
