TFT has promoted Neil Granger to head of sustainability and Mat Lown has taken up a new role on TFT’s executive board as chief knowledge and ESG officer.
In his new role, Granger will lead TFT‘s collected sustainability services including lifecycle carbon, energy performance, circular economy and climate change adaptation consultancy, across all of the company’s offices in the UK and Ireland.
Lown’s newly formed role on TFT’s executive board will see him take an holistic approach across the business to drive TFT’s strategy for creating resilient and sustainable buildings with every service it provides.
Granger said: “As an engineer by training, I have spent decades solving complex building challenges and firmly believe that advice with a broader viewpoint is always better. I am excited to deepen the collaborative relationships between our specialists, our clients, and wider project teams to create more resilient, sustainable buildings. That means bringing plenty of ambition to every stage of the building lifecycle, putting refurbishment and retrofit at the top of our agenda, and making sure that sustainability specialists, engineers, surveyors and project managers keep doing great work side-by-side.”
Lown added: “For a consultancy which seeks to grow its positive impacts on every front, and which is committed to doing so as a B Corp, we need to keep evolving and pushing our team to be able to help our clients bridge the huge sustainability knowledge gap and edge closer to net zero targets. The training platform took the best part of a year to develop, test and fine tune, with the aid of materials from partners and experts such as UKGBC and we’re already rolling it out across the team, and for new starters across all disciplines within the business.”
