BPS Purestone has appointed Workplace Creations to deliver the £12m transformation of 85 Tottenham Court Road in Central London.
The extensive redevelopment, which will see the building renamed BEAT TCR, will deliver major structural alterations and an additional floor to expand the building’s usable space, alongside a striking bronze façade and new glazing to establish a distinctive architectural identity.
A redesigned reception, rooftop clubhouse and enhanced end-of-trip facilities will elevate the occupier experience, while flexible CAT A and CAT A+ office accommodation will support a range of tenant requirements.
Ross Wilkinson, founder and managing director of workplace creations, said: “This is a fantastic project for us and a really exciting milestone for the business. It reflects the scale and complexity of the projects we’re now delivering, and the technical expertise our teams have built through years of experience. 85 Tottenham Court Road has huge potential, and it’s brilliant to be working alongside such a strong project team to give the building a completely new identity. We’re really looking forward to seeing the transformation take shape.”
Rishi Khurana, co-founder of BPS Purestone, added: “Delivering value-add real estate projects in today’s market takes significant commitment and collaboration, and reaching this milestone is a testament to the hard work of Ross Wilkinson and the Workplace Creations team. BEAT TCR represents an important step for us as we establish our presence in the London market and build a portfolio of £500m GDV over the next three years. Our ambition is to create a distinctive, high quality workplace that responds to the needs of modern occupiers while giving the building a completely new identity.”
The project team includes Quartz, HUT Architecture, ChapmanBDSP, Elliott Wood, Studio GB, DAMA and Cushman & Wakefield.
