Theodora Beckett, head of London at RealWorth, has been appointed the new chair of the ULI UK Young Leaders Group.

Beckett, who has been a ULI member since 2019, will serve a two-year term as chair on a voluntary basis. She succeeds Imogen Thompson, who recently joined ULI UK as the National Council’s executive director.

At RealWorth, Beckett advises on community wealth building and placemaking strategy, as well as the optimising, delivering and measuring of social impact, on projects across London and the South East.

Beckett said: “I am delighted to assume the role of chair for the UK Young Leaders. As a group, we are committed to fostering innovative, interdisciplinary thought that builds knowledge, expands networks, and champions diversity and inclusion within the built environment. I plan to build on the excellent work of my predecessor Imogen Thompson in providing a platform that nurtures inspiring ideas and builds genuine connections among young professionals.”

Mark Collins, chair of the ULI UK National Council and executive director and chairman of residential at CBRE, added: “Theodora’s energy, enthusiasm and commitment to innovation, connectivity and diversity puts her in great stead to be a fantastic trailblazer and ambassador for Young Leaders.

“This group is extremely important to ULI in its focus on nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurial talent, providing a valuable platform to connect, discuss, and network, and encouraging innovative thinking in response to some of our industry’s biggest challenges. I am looking forward to working with her as she steers our Young Leaders Group and works to build upon its great success.”

Thompson said: “I am delighted that Theodora has taken on the Young Leader chair role for ULI UK. Theodora has been a highly active member of the National Council for multiple years, previously holding positions including the Young Leaders vice chair and Residential Product Council member. I look forward to seeing her now step into leadership to deliver impactful and innovative programming for the emerging talent of our industry here in the UK.”
