Keele University has appointed Carter Jonas as leasing agent for its Science and Innovation Park in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
As part of its remit, the property consultancy is supporting the launch of the new, state-of-the-art 13,000 sq ft Innovation Centre Seven (IC7) facility (pictured), in addition to leasing activity across the site’s further 11 established innovation-led facilities.
The BREEM Excellent-rated IC7 features a data visualisation suite, augmented/virtual reality suite, office space and hi-tech meeting and collaboration areas.
Ann Pittard, director of Keele University Science and Innovation Park, said: “Since its inception almost 40 years ago, Keele’s Science and Innovation Park has grown to become a very significant innovation hub. 1,000 staff work here across more than 50 businesses, and collectively they provide £75m in gross value added to the West Midlands economy, supporting over 1,600 jobs in the region. We are pleased to have partnered with Carter Jonas to help the park reach its full potential and extend its role in creating positive outcomes for communities from Keele’s research and education.”
