Video game developer Climax Studios has signed for 24,000 sq ft of office space at the Lakeside North Harbour business campus in Portsmouth.
The company, which was founded in Portsmouth more than 35 years ago, is relocating to the campus space for its new headquarters. Climax Studios has played a key role in major video games franchises including Age of Empires IV, Flight Simulator and Assassins Creed.
Simon Bateman, asset manager at Lakeside North Harbour, said: “Securing Climax Studios as an occupier is a strong endorsement of the quality and flexibility of the space at Lakeside. The campus is designed to meet the needs of modern, high growth businesses and this deal demonstrates the strength of demand from the technology and creative sectors.”
Ben Potton, head of studios at Climax Studios, added: “Lakeside gives us the scale, infrastructure and working environment we need to support the next phase of growth for the business, while continuing to provide a great experience for our team.”
