Real estate consultancy MAPP has appointed Louise Bonham as chief executive officer with effect from September 2023.
Mapp founder Nigel Mapp will take on the role of chairman and remain involved with the business on a full-time basis, with executive chairman David Clein spending more time working with MAPP’s client base.
Bonham was previously co-head of Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA asset services business and COO of advisory and transaction services EMEA at CBRE. She has also worked in the real estate teams of Brunswick Group, Deutsche Bank and Deloitte.
Bonham said: “I’m really pleased to join MAPP. The team is renowned across the property industry as best-in-class in terms of what it delivers to clients, its commitment to helping people thrive and to leading the sector in sustainability and innovation. I’ve enjoyed getting to know Nigel and David over a number of months and this is an exciting opportunity to join a business well-placed to continue its impressive growth trajectory in a changing industry. I believe MAPP offers something truly different to clients and am looking forward to being part of the team.
Mapp added: “The appointment of someone of the calibre of Louise represents a significant milestone for the business in this, our 25th anniversary year. We are thrilled to have Louise join us to head up the business, as it will allow David and I to focus on clients, accelerate the strategic growth of the company and to lay the foundations for a prosperous and sustainable future for MAPP over the next 25 years.
“Neither David nor I are going anywhere, we just recognise that the time has come for us to focus on clients and the continued growth and evolution of the business. This is a natural progression that demonstrates our commitment to being independent and one we are hugely excited about.’’
Clein said: “We are proud to have retained our people-focused, entrepreneurial culture over the last 25 years whilst also never standing still. The appointment of Louise is the latest example of our absolute commitment to leading the sector and having the best people on the MAPP team.”
