AEW has appointed Jeffrey King from DWS as fund manager of its open-ended pan-European core fund EUROCORE.
At DWS, he was head of portfolio management for residential strategies and prior to that he spent more than seven years at Aviva Investors as fund manager of its pan-European open-ended core fund Encore+.
In his new role, he will work alongside Christina Ofschonka, head of fund management Germany at AEW, and lead the management of EUROCORE, which has raised €527.5m to date and comprises a portfolio of assets diversified across logistics, life sciences and the living sector in seven European countries.
Ofschonka said: “Jeffrey brings a wealth of experience in the real estate space, having spent a number of years managing European funds, latterly focusing on the residential sector. In the three years since its launch, EUROCORE has established itself as one of Europe’s leading open-ended core real estate funds with a high-quality portfolio of future-proof assets in key and mature markets across Europe. I look forward to welcoming Jeffrey to the team and working with him as we continue to grow the fund and deliver its objectives for investors.”
