Northwood Urban Logistics has completing leasing deals with two new occupiers at Mersey Reach in Aintree, Liverpool.
Applied Medical UK has taken 18,687 sq ft at Units 7C and 8A and REPI (UK) has signed for the 8,982 sq ft Unit 6D.
These are just two new build units available to let at the scheme measuring 4,203 sq ft and 4,047 sq ft. The units can be combined to offer 8,250 sq ft.
JLL negotiated the deal with Applied Medical, which was represented by Avison Young and B8RE negotiated the deal with REPI, which was unrepresented.
Richard Johnson, director – UK industrial and logistics at JLL, said: “We are pleased to have let three units to Applied Medical UK at Mersey Reach on a 10-year lease and a further unit to REPI (UK) on a five-year lease. The high specification new build units and prime Liverpool location made them well-suited for their medical business, which is expanding and relocating from Knowsley.”
Thomas Marriott, associate at B8RE, added: “The two most recent lettings at Mersey Reach demonstrate the strong levels of occupier demand for multi-let industrial accommodation that we are still finding in the North West despite economic uncertainty. As shown in our B8 Real Estate Market update on North West industrial and logistics, take up of new build units under 15,000 sq ft, accounted for the majority of transactions in 2023 for new build units below 90,000 sq ft, for a second consecutive year.”
