Knight Property Group has acquired a vacant six-acre site in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, on which it intends to speculatively build a new 70,000 sq ft industrial and logistics unit.
Subject to planning consent, the £15m GDV Delta 70 unit will be built to achieve an EPC A and BREEAM Very Good rating.
The all-eletric unit will feature high performance roof and wall cladding, clear roof lights to help reduce lighting costs and EV car charging points.
Howard Crawshaw, managing director of Knight Property Group, said: “Our decision to continue speculative development in Bellshill is in direct response to occupational market demand in Lanarkshire for logistics/industrial space in this size sector. Delta 70 will showcase a best-in-class specification, together with Knight Property Group’s own high design and sustainability standards. We are currently working up development and planning proposals, to set before North Lanarkshire Council later this year.”
