BNP Paribas Real Estate has bolstered its national planning team hiring Katie Lamb as senior director and Ashley Bailey as senior associate director.

Lamb (pictured), who will be based between the Strutt & Parker offices in Lewes and Guildford, has two decades of planning experience and most recently served as strategic planning director at Thakeham Homes.

Bailey, who has more than a decade of planning experience, joins the company from DLP Planning, where he served as associate director. He will be based in the Bristol office.

Caroline McDade, head of national planning at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “The addition of Ashley and Katie to our team significantly enhances our capacity to address the complexities of the current UK planning landscape. Their extensive experience and strategic insights will be invaluable as we continue to provide exceptional planning services to our clients, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of industry developments.”

Lamb added: “Planning in the South East remains critical, with growing pressure to balance housing delivery with environmental and infrastructure challenges. Developers and landowners need strategic guidance to navigate emerging policy changes and local authority requirements. I look forward to supporting our clients in unlocking opportunities across the region.

Bailey said: “The planning landscape in the South West is evolving rapidly, with increasing demand for sustainable development and the need to navigate complex heritage and environmental considerations. My experience working across both urban and rural schemes, as well as with key government departments, positions me well to support our clients in Bristol in delivering viable and well-designed projects.”
