Data solutions and ESG technology firm Utopi has released a new energy benchmarking capability.
The benchmarking tool utilises Utopi’s environmental data set, which contains information around things like occupancy patterns, energy waste and carbon emissions, and enables users to understand their energy consumption compared with the wider market.
These energy benchmark reports are designed for asset owners, investors and operators to enable them to quickly and easily compare their energy consumption against industry averages and find ways to reduce unnecessary, and costly, energy waste.
Falk Bleyl, CTO and co-founder of Utopi, said: “We have always been a mission-led business and we want to share our insights with the market to drive positive change. These energy benchmarks provide a high-level view for asset owners and operators across the market, underpinned by real-world insights from billions of data points collected from assets across the UK and Europe. We are happy to share that intelligence for free. Only good can come from this.”
Jonathan Burridge, CEO and co-founder of Utopi, added: “Utopi have always been a disrupter and to see us now be able to share energy benchmarking insights with the real estate market and drive positive change is really exciting. We see energy waste happen daily across over 58,000 live assets, now it’s time that we, as a market, come together to reduce unnecessary energy consumption and reduce associated emissions. NZC is approaching, let’s all take action to reduce our environmental impact and benefit people and our planet.”
