Pan-European real estate lender Maslow Capital has promoted Sky Mapson to managing director, origination (UK).
Mapson has worked in Maslow Capital’s development finance team for the past 14 years building out its origination capability and developing sponsor relationships that span multiple market cycles.
Emma Burke, managing director, head of development finance origination (UK and Europe) at Maslow Capital, said: “Sky’s promotion is well-earned. Over 14 years he has been a key driver of how our origination team works, the relationships it carries, the standards it sets, and the way it shows up for sponsors.
“Sky isn’t alone in that tenure either. Every member of our UK origination team has been at Maslow Capital for a minimum of eight years. It’s why borrowers work with the same faces deal after deal, why the underwriting view doesn’t shift mid-process, and why a sponsor we supported early in their career knows exactly what to expect when they return.”
Mapson added: “Fourteen years on, the things that brought me to Maslow Capital are the things that have kept me here. The people I work with, the breadth of deals on our platform, from bridges to large complex transactions, and sponsor relationships that have developed alongside my own career. In this expanded role I’m looking forward to working more closely with Emma on the direction of our UK origination team, while continuing to do what I most enjoy, partnering with sponsors and structuring transactions alongside Emma, Matt, James and the wider team.”
