LendInvest has appointed Dan Lohn as the company’s new head of development finance.

Lohn, who has more than a decade of experience as a development lender and a property developer, joined the firm in 2025 as a relationship manager.

Under his leadership, LendInvest’s development finance team will focus on empowering SME developers by scaling access to competitive and flexible finance designed specifically for regional housebuilders.

Lohn intends to streamline the borrower journey, leveraging his firsthand experience as a developer to optimise the funding lifecycle and significantly reduce friction and delays for clients.

Lohn said: “Having sat on both sides of the table as a developer and a lender, I understand the unique pressures SME housebuilders face in today’s market. The UK has a critical need for new housing, and SME developers are essential to bridging that gap. I am incredibly proud to step into this new role at LendInvest. My focus is on stripping away friction in the funding process and delivering the fast, flexible capital our borrowers need to get spades in the ground and build the homes this country desperately needs.”

John Eastgate, chief commercial officer at LendInvest, added: “Dan’s unique perspective as a former developer and seasoned lender makes him the ideal leader for our development finance team. LendInvest’s expertise, built over more than a decade of development finance lending, lies in its understanding of the complexities of development projects.

“By definition, they’re seldom straightforward, and every project comes with its own story. Dan’s passion for construction and his ‘boots on the ground’ experience is a perfect fit for LendInvest as we continue to support SME developers across England, Scotland and Wales.”
