BTR operator Get Living has partnered with charity Hypha Studios to convert a former Sainsbury’s store at East Village, London, into a creative space for local artists.

Get Living said the space, which is centred around the themes of design and community living, will showcase works by local artists and emerging talent from Goldsmith University students.

Camilla Cole, founder of Hypha Studio, said: “Our newest design studio in Stratford’s East Village will bring new life to a vacant commercial space, transforming the unit into a not-for-profit gallery and exhibition space for local and emerging talent.”

Richard Allen, head of retail at Get Living, added: “Working with Hypha Studios is a natural partnership for Get Living. Reimagining a former unused retail unit for local artists is a truly innovative way to deliver social value for residents and the wider community and supports our mission to bring people together in inspiring spaces.”
