Logicor and development manager Stoford have been granted Freeport status for the 18-acre Liberty Park Widnes as part of the Liverpool City Region Freeport.
The 45km Liverpool City Region Freeport covers Birkenhead, St Helens and Widnes, where a range of economic incentives will be available, covering customs, business rates, planning, regeneration, innovation, trade and investment support and employment opportunities.
Planning consent has also been granted to deliver two sites at Liberty Park Widness for either one large circa 360,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse unit or two smaller units of circa 210,000 sq ft and 150,000 sq ft. The buildings will be built to a high specification and will be available for occupation in Q1 2024.
